The details:

Our Labouring positions within the Roads and Drains team will have you working alongside your crew leader predominantly undertaking operational maintenance on Council's assets and infrastructure. More specifically, you will be carrying out general maintenance duties on our civil and transport infrastructure to maintain your dedicated run area ensuring it remains tidy and free of any defects or safety hazards. This will include tasks such as installing and replacing signs, correcting various road defects, rectifying any pathway, kerb and channel defects, fixing traffic island defects as well as other general labouring duties and working on infrastructure/areas as required.

About you

Ideally you will have demonstrated similar relevant experience maintaining or working with civil/transport infrastructure and/or carrying out similar duties. You will bring your excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and your experience undertaking manual operational tasks in a safety conscious environment. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, we'll also need you to hold a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR) and a Construction Induction card.
