  • $79,563 pa + 12% super + leave loading (Stream A) - Level 3 of the EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Location: Margate

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Facilities Officer in our Buildings and Facilities team, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

Our Facilities Officers work directly with the customers and contractors to deliver and supervise end-to-end daily operational maintenance services across Council’s 1,800+ buildings and facilities including ,libraries, galleries, office buildings, sporting and community club houses, public amenities and jetties. You'll also be
  • Supporting Council’s defects management strategy
  • Tendering and project managing minor capital and operational projects
  • Procuring of contracted services, and managing contract/service provider performance 
  • Delegating and supervising work by team members and and external contractors to deliver safe and customer focused outcomes.
As part of the role you'll also participate in the on-call roster, having responsibility for after-hours call out on council buildings and facilities.

About you

We're looking for apprenticeship qualified construction or building maintenance people, with great experience assessing and managing maintenance works and projects across a variety of facility types and conditions, and focus on providing a great service to our customers. You'll also be:

  • Preparing and presenting clear, concise and accurate reports
  • Creating great stakeholder relationship to negotiate and deliver required outcomes at all levels of the organisation
  • Using your working understanding of Building Codes Australia legislation and standards
  • Integrating with and leading a team, contributing to the delivery of quality customer service outcomes.

Bring your:

  • Trade qualified in a relevant or complimentary building trade skill (required)
  • Current C class driver’s licence required)
  • Construction Induction Card competency required).
